This year we are proud partners of the Clarion Awards. For many years we’ve had the pleasure of working with EVCOM/ the Clarions and this is a relationship we value greatly. Due to recent events, the Clarions 2020 took place virtually, with interactive elements such as a cocktail making class getting us up off our seats. EVCOM’s ability to take this event online in such a seamless and innovative manor has us all excited for what the future holds for the use of technology in events.
This year’s participants have really exceeded expectations, taking part in cause driven work during the most difficult of climates. This is something we believe everyone involved should be immensely proud of. Sam Wilson (Our Founder and MD) asked during the ceremony “How are we going to use our creative gifts to amplify positive change in the world now when we need it more than ever?”, this is a question and challenge that we believe was risen to by all involved. Having judged a number of the entries for the awards, Sam was able to see the value of the work gone into each entry and the lasting legacies these will leave.
An additional treat for us on the day was seeing DRPG win the Gold award in the ‘Live: Brand Communication’ category for their CSR Charter, something we worked closely with their fantastic team on. Congratulations to Dale, Cecelia and the team on the recognition and high praise they received from those judging the awards.
For the event itself, Sam was approached to discuss the work our industry is undertaking to be at the forefront of sustainability and the unique position we hold as individuals with the opportunity to be agents of change. There are very few award ceremonies that are devoted to sustainability and recognise the hard work of those making meaningful change and we are already excited to see what next year’s ceremony has to offer. We look forward to seeing you all there!
