ExCel London is a £560m international venue located in Royal Victoria Dock. The largest and most versatile venue in London, it includes 100,000sqm of multipurpose space, two large halls, two conference centres, 45 meeting rooms and the UK’s largest, fully flexible auditorium. Every year, ExCel London delivers over 5000 events, supports in excess of 31,000 jobs, and greets visitors from over 200 countries.

Over a 12-month engagement Syntiro empowered the Sustainability Team to develop and install pragmatic polices and controls. The support was tailored to ExCel’s specific needs, meaning that solutions were embedded into current ways of working from the get-go. The end result was a clear purpose and strategic direction, supported by the vehicle and personnel to ensure these became a tangible reality.

The team succeeded in their goal to achieve ISO 20121 and ISO 14001 Certification and now conduct all their internal audits and certification audits.
