Syntiro Case Study

London Olympic and Paralympic Games

Project management of over 60 competition and non-competition venues, including Greenwich Park, Lea Valley, Eton Dorney, Hadleigh Farm and the Olympic Park.

Across an 18-month engagement, we developed and installed an ISO 20121 management system to achieve LOCOG sustainability requirements and deliverables. Training was supplemented with info-graphic ‘toolbox talks’ each of which identified a specific sustainability area, such as the waste hierarchy, for flexible and immediate staff engagement. We developed a suite of these toolbox talks for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which were used to cascade relevant training to every contractor and their staff onsite.

Woodhouse worked with Syntiro to achieve our IS0 Certifications on a tight timeline to fulfil our requirement for LOCOG and our London 2012 commitment for the equestrian facilities in Greenwich Park. They were able to get cooperation from all our employees no matter their experience and tenure. I can recommend their practical no-nonsense approach to sustainability.
